Stalfort and Company is a small family-owned and operated business located on Maryland's Eastern Shore, just outside Historical Chestertown. In a community known for its contribution to the Revolutionary War, Stalfort and Company has continued this tradition by introducing its own revolutionary product in a science that is over 2000 years old.

Stalfort and Company family members represent two generations and thirty-five years of involvement in the manufacturing of specialty chemicals and the use of essential oils. Beginning in 1966, Stalfort and Co.'s chemist/perfumer began working with alternatives to non-biodegradable antiseptics and disinfectants. With an eye to preventing the toxic consequences of those products, Stalfort's inventor began working with coconut oil-based products as a substitute for those environmentally hazardous chemicals.

The science of using natural materials to create a variety of household and personal solutions has been well-documented for over 2000 years. Building upon the research of Rene-Maurce Gattefosse and Dr. Foveau De Courmelles, Stalfort and Company has added to the rich history of this movement with its latest breakthrough in the development of solid aromatherapy products.

Combining essential oils and their individual therapeutic constituents to create a useful and enduring product has been the goal of the company. The Aromabar products have met this criterion using a proprietary technique that results in a long-lasting, beneficial and effective solid.
